Preston-based Remsol is to mark gaining training centre accreditation by giving away ten free places to its environmental awareness course.
The workshop, backed by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, usually retails at £125+VAT per place but will be given free of charge to one employee from each of ten Preston businesses, selected on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis.Waste and environmental management specialist Remsol have been helping businesses to improve their green credentials since 2002, and has now been accredited to deliver the courses from its on-site training premises allowing the company to work with a wider audience.
Lee Petts, managing director, said: “Environmental training offers us a way of helping more businesses to improve their environmental performance, and we want to make it especially accessible to smaller firms who know they want to be 'green' but can lack the resources to invest in such training and development.”The qualification on offer is a CIEH Level 2 Award in Environmental Principles and Best Practice, a one-day programme designed specifically for members of staff whose activities potentially have an impact on the environment or supervisors and managers who are being introduced to environmental issues for the first time. To apply for a free place, email [email protected] with the subject "I deserve a free CIEH training place because..." with your reasons explained in 100 words or fewer. The closing date for entries is 5pm, 30th May 2013.
