A first-time buyer with a background in retail has acquired a Merseyside based domiciliary care agency.
The vendor instructed Redwood’s Dowling Kerr to facilitate the sale of their healthcare business due to semi-retirement wishes. The bespoke marketing campaign which highlighted the investment opportunity enabled three viewings which resulted in two concrete offers.
The agency developed an excellent reputation for offering a variety of professional care to adults and the elderly living in their own homes. The agency delivers approximately 416 hours of care weekly to around 21 service users residing in Merseyside.
The business offers a wide range of both long and short term personal and domestic care for adults and the elderly. Services include personal and medical care, medication management, meal preparation, mental health, dementia, physical and learning difficulties, end of life care, and companionship.
Despite their retail background, the buyer’s motivation to buy a business in the healthcare sector is due to the rising demand for domiciliary care agencies. The buyer was able to see that the agency had been well-run by the previous owners and had an excellent reputation in the region. The new owner intends to continue to provide the best quality of care for service users and expand the business further.
The vendor said, “Asif took the time to understand the type of buyer that I was looking for. The service I received was superb, with great communication throughout the sales process. I would have no hesitation recommending Redwoods and Asif to any healthcare business owner looking to sell.”
Healthcare Sales Negotiator Asif Musa added, “It has been a pleasure working with our client for all the hard work they have put in to get the sale over the line. The result has been excellent for all parties. I would like to wish my client all the best with their semi-retirement.”
