Housebuilder Redrow has announced a series of internal promotions across its Lancashire sites.
Shaun Phoenix, who joined the company as an apprentice joiner at 16, has been promoted to construction manager after five years as area construction manager.
His new role will see him taking six sites under his control and supervision – The Oaks and The Brook at Taylor’s Chase, Warrington; Sanderling Park in Formby; The Grange at Yew Tree Park in Burscough; Willows Green, Clayton-le-Woods and Worden Gardens in Leyland.
He said: “I was always guided really well and the fact that I’m in this new position echoes my belief that if you work hard and put in the effort at Redrow, it’s a company that will push you and help you go all the way. The rewards are there.”
Barry Holden, who has been site manager for eight years and project manager for 16 months, has been appointed as area construction manager overseeing Oak Leigh Gardens in Whalley, Oldfield Park in Poulton-le-Fylde, and Tabley Green in Fulwood.
Three assistant site managers have also taken on new positions as site managers: Adam Brakell is now in charge at Oldfield Park; Jason Booth at Willows Green; and Mark Bates at Worden Gardens.
Keith Collard, Redrow construction director, said: “Attracting skilled people and investing in them through training and development is embedded into the ethos of Redrow and the latest promotions show that. It’s about nurturing talent and getting the best out of people, supporting and taking them to the next level in their careers.”
