Chorley-based digital healthcare services partner Redmoor Health has appointed Matt Murphy as its new CEO.
Matt, who has previously held several senior roles at EMIS Group, succeeds co-founder Marc Schmid who will takes on a more strategic role in the business.
Redmoor Health, founded in 2017, has become a trusted partner of the NHS for all things digital technology.
The company secured ‘significant investment’ from private equity firm Palatine last year.
Marc Schmid said: "With his proven track record of fostering the expansion of investor-backed companies, we are confident that Matt's leadership will steer Redmoor Health towards new horizons of success.
“Our partnership with Palatine last year marked a pivotal moment for us, and Matt's appointment further strengthens our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions in the UK and beyond."
Matt Murphy, who starts his new role at the start of September, said: “You can tell a lot about Redmoor’s reputation from the level of interest they attracted when they went to the market to raise investment last year.
“My main priorities will be building the structure to support our ambitious growth plans and developing the team."
Matt’s last role was CEO for digital distribution company Genba Digital, which was acquired by Azerion in 2021.
He said: “When I joined Genba in 2017 my brief was to scale up and grow the business. The gross profit grew from £500,000 to over £8m by the start of 2023, whilst the team went from six to 35, and the client base trebled.”
Murphy said his six-year stint at Leeds-based EMIS, would prove valuable at Redmoor Health.
“My time at EMIS gave me a fantastic understanding of primary care and wider community-based care,” he said. “It showed me what it takes to run a technology-business for the NHS, particularly primary care and community care.
“You have to be dedicated, committed and work in partnership with the NHS because it’s complex and unpredictable. It’s a huge responsibility."
