About us
Winter Gardens Blackpool is at the forefront of Lancashire’s visitor economy welcoming over 1.3 million visitors annually.
We are a unique venue which welcomes the biggest shows, concerts, conferences and events.
The modern-day Winter Gardens Blackpool, compromises 4.9 acres of connected event space, a modern metropolis of unique venues, stylish bars, restaurants and cafes.
Our achievements
As a business we have remained proactive throughout the pandemic, safeguarding jobs, supporting our community and driving the recovery of the region's tourism industry.
We formed new partnerships, innovated and found new ways of working, continuously adapting to every challenge to create opportunities to ensure our survival and ability to thrive when we were able to reopen, which we did.
What the judges said
“The impact on the wider community cannot be underestimated – Winter Gardens see themselves as ‘the heart of Blackpool’.
“Excellent diversification came with clear vision and strategy and a dedication to creating new opportunities for staff.”
What’s next
We will focus on retaining existing business whilst continuing to grow and develop our own curated events including the Blackpool Dance Festivals, International Soul Festival, Comedy Festivals and more.
Alongside our entertainment programme, an increased focus on business tourism is our key priority, maximising the use of our heritage venues and the new Conference and Exhibition Centre.
Large-scale investments in the venue will continue, with the restoration of the seating within the Opera House, the revitalisation of dormant spaces and the restoration of the Pavilion Theatre.
