RTC Safety Surfaces has been working hard for over two decades to keep children safe in playgrounds and is now celebrating its most successful year to date.
Located in Burnley, RTC is recognised globally for installing wet pour and rubber mulch safety surfacing. On reflection of 2015, RTC has seen a double-digit increase of sales against 2014. They secured 2713 projects in total with over 75 per cent of turnover came from repeat business. However, the UK’s leading safety surfacing company has one goal in mind: to protect as many children as possible from impactful falls in the playground. Hence, why they are pleased to announce that almost 350,000m² of safety surfacing was installed last year.
This figure equates to over five million tons of rubber surfacing – over half of which was recycled from worn truck tyres. Altogether in 2015, RTC Safety Surfaces saved around 65,000 large truck tyres from harming the environment making their surfaces not only safe for child’s play, but also eco-friendly.From establishment, the growing business has installed safety surfacing in 13 countries across Europe and Africa and since 2012, working overseas has contributed to over 30 per cent of their total sales.
RTC Safety Surfaces have dealt with these demands by introducing several new job roles and putting their recognised project management skills into practice. Sales director, Mark Wesson, says: “We have worked tirelessly to become the UK’s leading safety surfacing company. We have made significant investments in both infrastructure and people, which is now paying dividends.”Enjoyed this? Read more from RTC Safety Surfaces Limited
