She joins cricketer Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff, who was announced as Lancashire's first official ambassador in September.
"I feel so connected with being Lancastrian, especially since I went to Lancaster University first and then to UCLan, and my first jobs in my career were in Blackpool and Blackburn.

The appointment was announced ahead of a Lancashire Day event being held at the House of Commons, hosted by Andrew Stephenson MP and attended by MPs and representatives from the Department of International Trade, Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, the National Farmers Union, Visit England, Virgin Trains and Lancastrians in London.
