Rainbow Hub, Mawdesley, near Ormskirk, is saying a huge thank you to the staff from Lancashire companies who volunteer to help them in a variety of ways as the country celebrates National Volunteers Week.
Amongst the many Companies who have helped the charity are HSBC and Network Rail where staff teams help with maintenance of the grounds; Neary Rail who installed equipment funded by Vinci UK Foundation and Ultrasec Security who send their team to help with security and marshalling at the Rainbow Ramble.
Other Companies such as Access4Lofts, Jambo Property Services, Churcher Estates, Ventbrook, Cornthwaite Tree Care and CGL Landscape Gardens support the charity’s fundraising with staff taking part in events, donating prizes and raising sponsorship.
Volunteers are essential to the work of the charity and span all ages and backgrounds carrying out an extensive range of jobs helping keep the grounds tidy, assisting at events, helping with fund raising collections and office administration to wrapping Christmas presents, putting up decorations and assisting the staff who support the children and young people with physical and neurological disabilities who use the services.
Help is always needed and welcome. If your Company would like to know more about ways in which to help this worthy charity please contact Emma Parish on 01704 823276 or email [email protected]
