GOLF, a driving range and charity, a top trio – and so it proved as Chorley golf star Lora Fairclough helped mark the arrival of the newest dealership in the town.
Former European Women’s Tour winner Lora, in her role as patron of Rosemere Golfers Against Cancer, drove into the new premises of Knickerbrook Cars, independent Audi Specialists, to thank the business for donating £500 to the cause.She said: “It’s great to welcome Knickerbrook Cars to Chorley and to our fundraising group. Raising money for this vital cause is one big team effort and it never stops. We are extremely grateful for this generous donation.”
Knickerbook Cars, which is run by experienced motor traders Phil Weaver and Ben Collier have re-located from Eccleston to Ackhurst Park Chorley.Phil explained: “We now have bigger premises, a much higher visual profile and, as the business is re-launched and grows we are determined to get more involved in the community. The Rosemere Cancer Foundation is important for personal reasons, Ben and I are both sports-lovers, the Rosemere Golfers do a great job and have a lot of fun doing it, so we want to support their efforts.”
