Creative agency Optic Jam helps NHS England drive #BePrEPed, a positive sexual health campaign aimed at reducing HIV transmission in the UK.
PrEP stands for pre-exposure prophylaxis. It is a pill that prevents HIV from replicating inside the body. This mean the virus is not given a chance to take hold. PrEP is free on the NHS and can be given to anyone considered at greater risk of coming into contact with HIV.
Currently, there are approximately 105,200 people living with HIV in the UK. In 2021, 2,955 were newly diagnosed with HIV, a drop of only 0.2% from the previous year. Supported by NHS England and Renaissance, #BePrEPed furthers the UK government's drive to reduce new HIV diagnoses to zero by 2030 by raising awareness and promoting the availability of PrEP to all who might need it.
Creative agency Optic Jam proposed two 30-second animated explainer videos to support the PrEP campaign. Animated explainer videos are a powerful tools for organisations looking to engage their audience and promote their product, service or message. These videos are designed to simplify complex concepts, making them an ideal choice for telling PrEP's story.
PrEP is available to all who might need it. You can call or visit your local sexual health clinic for more details. Or, you can learn more at: bepreped.co.uk
