The psychology of pricing and improving leadership skills will be on the agenda at the next Fylde Coast Entrepreneurs Club on Friday, November 24.
The quarterly event, co-organised by Brabners with accountancy firm, Brown & Co, and FirstComm Recruitment, is targeted at owners and senior leaders of growing businesses based on Lancashire’s Fylde Coast.
Attendees at the next event, which will be held at Lytham Hall, will hear from guest speaker David Abbott, a pricing expert with more than 35 years’ experience.
David has held a range of managing director and senior marketing director roles in the ecommerce and manufacturing industries including group marketing director at healthcare manufacturing group, Siddall & Hilton.
In 2017, David published his book ‘How to Price Your Platypus’, a guide to maximising prices using customer psychology. He will lead an interactive session to help attendees maximise price potential and communicate these prices to customers.
The event will also include a Q&A with executive leadership coach Hamish Hamilton, chair of the world’s largest executive coaching organisation for small and medium sized businesses, Vistage Worldwide. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask Hamish about specific aspects of senior leadership relevant to their organisations.
At the last Fylde Entrepreneurs Club, held in September, Hamish outlined how CEOs and managing directors of businesses can delegate more effectively to foster better leadership from management teams and free up vital time to plan for the future.
The Fylde Coast Entrepreneurs Club is an invite-only event designed to bring together ambitious business owners and entrepreneurs to learn from expert speakers, as well as build personal networks with like-minded leaders.
Nicola Whittle, a partner at the Brabners Lancashire office, said: “Pricing is one of the most important elements of a business model and getting it right can have a major impact on profitability. We’re all looking forward to hearing and learning from David, who is renowned nationally for his expertise.
“We set up this club because of demand from businesses and like-minded partners. We now have a strong, growing group of senior leaders from fast-growing businesses across the Fylde who are forging meaningful relationships with each other, while learning new skills to develop themselves and their organisation.”
