Preston speaker wins national award

Heather Wright, director of Preston-based Advance Performance, has won the UK Professional Speaker Association Award.

The honour was presented at The Professional Speaking Association’s Annual Conference, organised by the UK arm of the Global Speakers Federation, a group of speaking organisations from around the world.

The winner was chosen through its Speaker Factor competition, which Heather won after topping regional heats and semi-finals, and earning a place in the finals after her performance at  the UK PSA “Inspire” Conference.

She said: “It is tough to get on a stage in front of hundreds of other professional speakers, so I am thrilled that they found my humorous style to be powerful and inspiring."

Heather has  designed, hosted and delivered keynote speeches for organisations including Boots Opticians, Rolls Royce, The National Trust, Jaguar Land Rover, GCap Media and Pepsi Lipton International.
