Preston firm reduces lighting bills by 74%

Preston-based cutter grinding company Techni Grind trimmed more than £7,000 from its energy bills after teaming up with Blackpool-based UK Energy Watch.

The energy consultancy undertook an on-site audit and recommended LED lighting, sourced the operating lease and oversaw the project plan and installation.

On completion, Techni Grind’s annual lighting costs reduced from £9,886.96 to £2,532.85, resulting in annual savings of £7,354.11. Monthly energy costs were £4,600 and then decreased to £4,000 following the LED lighting being installed.
