A Preston-based property consultancy has been selected to be a part of £750m construction framework that will support the creation of new homes and communities across the north of England.
Aegis Services, based at Navigation Business Park at Preston Docks, will provide both CDM and Clerk of Works services under the four-year Innovation Chain North framework.
The framework is led by Manchester-headquartered Great Places Housing Group and has been designed to support the delivery of new homes across the North of England. It will support Great Places’ ambitious housing plans but also those of other housing associations.
Adam Kaley, commercial director at Aegis, said: “The demand for new homes across the UK remains unabated. We’re proud to have been selected to play our role in helping the North of England’s property and construction community to build these new thousands of new homes.”
Helen Spencer, Great Places’ director of development, said: “We are delighted to be working with Aegis on our new ICN framework. We are confident they will be able to work with us and the clients of ICN in delivering the sector’s extensive development ambitions in the north.
“We are now looking forward to mobilising the framework and working together on new projects with Aegis supporting us with Clerk of Works and CDM services.”
The framework renewal saw a 56 per cent increase in bidders seeking to deliver works and services.
In total, 183 companies applied to supply the framework with 726 bids evaluated across 23 lots and 113 suppliers – 30 contractors and 83 consultants – were successful.
The successful organisations were selected based on their technical competence, price, and their commitment to social value. The framework runs until June 2024.
