This is enhanced by the government tentatively moving towards having an industrial strategy, following their green paper in January.
The commercial property sector serves as a reasonable barometer of business confidence, and we are definitely seeing signs that suggest things are improving - Petty Commercial has let/sold over a million square feet of industrial space over the last year in the Pendle-Burnley area alone.
The £4m government investment is part of the £68m Growth Deal Announcement for Lancashire. The scheme identified Lomeshaye as a pivotal part of the Burnley and Pendle Growth Corridor to secure, attract and create more employment opportunities in Pendle. With this sort of leadership and vision, I think Lancashire is well-poised to capitalise on he opportunities that lay ahead.
