PM+M, the chartered accountancy, business advisory and wealth management group, has launched a dedicated Coronavirus Support Hub for local businesses.
The new hub, which is free to view and available on PM+M’s main corporate website, includes the latest advice from the UK Government in relation to the direct financial support businesses can access as well as news and guidance on issues such as VAT and commercial rent deferrals, tax filing extensions and the key issues affecting self-employed workers.
Experts from across PM+M’s specialist teams will also be using the hub as a platform on which to share their expertise via a series of interviews, advice pieces and Q&As on how businesses can practically minimise the virus’s impact on their operations.
Topics include/ will include the importance of cashflow, issues relating to payroll, furloughing employees and remote working.
Jane Parry, managing partner of PM+M, said: “We are living in unprecedented times and we are all facing challenges that we could never have dreamed of just a few short weeks ago. The key is for the business community to stay calm and source the most accurate advice possible. Social media is awash with ‘fake news’ and mis-information, so our aim for the hub is for it be a trusted platform where people can access accurate guidance which they can take away and implement.”
Jane added: There is support out there but it’s essential people know what’s available, to whom and when. We hope the hub adds real value and will provide reassurance that companies are not alone.”
