Peter Oddie has announced his retirement after 47 years with PM+M, the chartered accountancy, business advisory and wealth management firm.
Peter joined the firm after completing his A Levels and his career began in the audit and accountancy department where he concentrated on the provision of accountancy services for smaller companies.
Then, in 1999, PM+M established a specialist agriculture department, which he has managed until his retirement. Peter drew on his experiences growing up on a farm to the benefit of his clients.
Over the years, the agricultural team has grown and it now has over 100 farming and related business clients who access a range of commercial accountancy and tax advice services.
Peter will hand over the reins to Delyth Oxford who has worked alongside him for 14 years. Peter will also be working with PM+M on a consultancy basis.
Jane Parry, managing partner at PM+M, said: “Peter has been part of the PM+M team for nearly 50 years so we will all miss his presence around the office. However, we are grateful for the part he has played in the growth and development of the firm.”
Peter added: “I have spent my whole career at PM+M and it has been an honour to be part of its history. I’d like to extend my thanks to all my clients and colleagues who I have worked with over the years and I look forward to watching the firm continue to thrive.”
