Sales of big name players to Premier League teams has helped Blackburn Rovers FC reduce losses in its annual accounts by £30m.
A major factor in the deficit reduction was player transfers, losing £5.4m over the previous year, but turning this into a £17.3m profit in the most recent year, thanks to the sales of players including Jordan Rhodes and Rudy Gestede.
However, the owners stated that despite continued losses, they remain committed to the club, which currently sits within the bottom three of the Championship, and its return to Premier League football.
