Two of Lancashire’s leading names in accountancy and financial planning are joining forces to stage a series of free business, tax and financial planning seminars in 2015 to help businesses focus on key issues for success and growth.
Business advisory and accountancy group, Pierce, and financial advisory firm, Taylor Patterson kick off the programme with ‘Review It’, a timely breakfast seminar in Blackburn on Thursday 28th February, which will focus on remuneration, tax year-end planning and the new pension freedoms starting in April 2015. And, the organisers expect a strong attendance, given the political profile given to tax planning matters in the pre-election period. The second collaboration, titled ‘Protect It and Build It’ is on Thursday 28th May. This will touch upon tax planning around the right structure for business and suggest whether it is appropriate for the protection of business assets, to support future growth and incentivise key personnel. Following the summer period, Thursday 1st October sees the third event titled, ‘Maximise It’, considering the process of grooming a business for sale, alongside corporate finance and succession planning. There will also be advice on structuring estate planning and trust and wealth management to meet business objectives.
The events will take place on the dates above at the offices of Pierce Group in Blackburn and will be repeated for business audiences in Preston at the offices of Taylor Patterson on the following dates Tuesday 3rd March, Tuesday 2nd June and Tuesday 6th October 2015. All will run 8.30am – 10.30am on the dates specified and include complimentary breakfast refreshments.Pierce Group head of tax, Nadeem Hussain, will be one of the key presenters at the events and he sees them as a great opportunity for business leaders and owner managers to focus on issues that are crucial for profitability and long-term financial stability. He said: “Our programme of free to attend seminars will provide attendees with a wealth of information on subjects that are critical for businesses but which are perhaps seen as technical and a little heavy. However, it will be our job to simplify what can be often complex issues, so that business executives are given a real understanding of matters that are of significant importance to businesses of all sizes.” The seminars will be open to all businesses in the region.
