PHX Training has appointed Junaid Mamoojee as business manager to lead its Blackpool base.
Junaid brings more than 10 years of experience in management and customer service to the role.
PHX Training delivers government-backed initiatives, adult skills, NEET (not in education, employment or training), employability contracts, apprenticeships and work-based learning programmes.
The company has recently been selected to deliver the government's Kickstart programme, which provides funding to employers to create new six-month job placements for young people who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.
Briony Fawcett, managing director of PHX Training, said: “This senior appointment has come at an important time for PHX. With the challenges being faced due to the impact of Covid, more people need our help to grow their skillset or find employment than before.
"Junaid is well equipped with the expertise and experience required to provide effective leadership to his team and ensure delivery of the highest level of support to our learners."
The PHX team of qualified trainers offers a diverse range of resources including offline, online and face-to-face services at six training centres in Barrow, Carlisle, Workington, Morecambe, Preston and Blackpool.
