We are celebrating with Alan Small, group finance manager, on his 11 year work anniversary with Swansway Group. Alan was no stranger to the group when he joined 11 years ago, as he had had worked with us in his previous role of bank manager at the Bank of Scotland. But when the opportunity came up for a finance role here, he jumped at the chance of a new, exciting challenge.
Alan’s role at Swansway requires a constant review of the finance policies and procedures undertaken by the Group, and as a consequence, he has vital oversight of how we protect our customers, and ensure that we act in their financial best interests at all times.
Over to you Alan: “Everything that we do is based on customer demand or need. And this is how we achieve better results; honestly, fairly and with the customer at the heart of all we do. If a team member is underperforming, we work on their motivation, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm. Encouragement goes a very long way to helping someone improve
"Building trust and good relationships is the key to success in a family business. And once this is established, you become very personally invested. I’m definitely in it for the long haul with Swansway.”
We’re very glad to hear that Alan! Congratulations on your 11 year anniversary and we are looking forward to more successful years ahead.
