Pennine Events is looking forward to a busy 2019 after securing a number of new contracts to manage high-profile events.
The Bamber Bridge-based company will oversee time trial starts at the Cycling World Road Race Championships in Ripon, and the finish of Stage 1 of the Tour de Yorkshire. It will also manage Pedal for Scotland, the county's larges annual cycling event.
The new contracts have resulted in job creation, with the planned addition of an additional project manager.
Pennine Events, now in its 17th year, is the only business to have been involved with the last two visits of the Tour de France, the Tour de Yorkshire and stages of Tour of Britain.
Other events handled by the firm include Light up Lancaster, Liverpool Cathedral Abseils, Night of Neon and the Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool Bike Ride.
Mark Sandamas, director, said: "We are seeing that, despite any uncertainty the current debate over Brexit may be causing in some areas, the interest in booking holidays and putting on events is not just undiminished but growing.
"Whether it’s a case of wanting experiences and challenges or recognising the impact events can have in stimulating the economy and consumer spend, we are seeing an increase in demand."
