A team from JM Glendinning Insurance Brokers’ Blackburn business took part in the 24-mile Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge, raising over £2k as part of Pendleside Hospice’s Corporate MEGA Raiseathon.
The team of three embarked on the 24.5-mile trek and managed to complete the challenge within 10 hours. The hike involves a 2,153m climb (in total), covering Peny-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, all set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The team members were Matthew Stuttard, David Edmondson and Josh Boothman.
JM Glendinning is the main sponsor of the Pendleside Hospice’s Corporate MEGA Raiseathon and is also a Gold Patron. Pendleside Hospice’s corporate MEGA Raiseathon challenge invites businesses to fundraise for the Hospice throughout summer. The money raised will help people who need the Hospice’s support following the devastating diagnosis of a life-limiting illness.
Matthew Stuttard, managing director of JM Glendinning (Insurance Brokers) Blackburn, says: “We are delighted at how much has been raised. Pendleside Hospice is a very worthy charity that provides a vital service for our local community and we are proud to have been able to contribute to its fundraising efforts in this way.”
Christina Cope, head of corporate fundraising at Pendleside Hospice said: “The corporate MEGA Raiseathon is a simple concept which we hope will bring added benefits to the businesses taking part, such as team building and encouraging interdepartmental working, as well as helping to raise vital funds for the Hospice. We are really delighted that the team at JM Glendinning has raised this wonderful £2,050 for Pendleside and we thank all the team for their support”
