This Easter, Pendle Hill Properties, Longridge Town Council and Love Longridge have come together to create some fun for local children and encourage people to #ShopLocal in Longridge.
Every local primary school pupil has been given a Colour an Easter Egg poster to take home before Easter. The children will colour in their egg, then to enter the competition to win a giant Easter Bunny and giant Easter Egg, they need to hand it in to one of the participating shops by 4pm on Saturday 16th April.
Each participating shop will also have 20 Easter Eggs to give away to the children coming in with their entries, first come first served; designed to increase footfall, the outlets are all located in Longridge town centre. Over 2200 children will have been given an egg to colour in, with further entry forms available in the shops.
The entries will be collected and taken to Longridge Town Council, who will select a winner of the giant Easter Bunny and giant Easter Egg and contact the winner directly.
Bryan Dalgleish-Warburton, the mayor of Longridge said, "I was delighted to launch this promotion in our local shops, with my Scottie dog Itchy. We've got a great high street here in Longridge with really everything you might need, and it will be lovely to see it full of families enjoying the Easter break!"
Thomas Turner, sales director of Pendle Hill Properties, said: "We're doing more and more in the Ribble Valley and surroundings, and Longridge is a lovely market town I'm proud to call home. It's great to be able to give back to the local children, and I hope they enjoy their eggs!"
