East Lancashire based estate and lettings agency Pendle Hill Properties have celebrated Christmas in style by delivering over 100 cricket bats and goodie bags to Year 3 children at Padiham primary schools.
Year 3 children from Padiham Green C of E, St Leonard’s C of E, St John the Baptist RC and Padiham Primary received a special cricket bat, a soft cricket ball and an invite to a free training session at Padiham Cricket Club courtesy of Pendle Hill Properties, as well as a selection box from Trinity Care Group.
Not only did the children receive their presents, but they also got to meet Thunder Cricket and Lancashire Women Cricket star Sophia Turner, who also works at Pendle Hill Properties as a Sales and Rental Administrator.
Also amongst the ranks at the cricket-mad estate agents is Lettings Manager and Sales Advisor, Toby Burrows, who currently plays for Padiham CC, with the Year 3 pupils now invited to a free training session with the club in spring.
Thunder Cricket and Lancashire Cricket star, Sophia Turner, said: “Wow what a fantastic day we have had delivering cricket bats and goodie bags to Year 3 children at local Padiham schools.
“The reaction from the children was wonderful and it would be lovely to see as many of them as possible down at the free training session at Padiham CC in the spring.”
Andrew Turner, managing director at Pendle Hill Properties, commented: “The cricket bat giveaway is an initiative which we have been running for some time now and it is one which our team loves getting involved in every year.
“Community is a big part of what we do here at Pendle Hill Properties and it is great to be able to give something back, especially at Christmas.”
