Pendle Council plans to pitch for a share of Historic England’s High Streets Heritage Action Zones £44m funding pot.
The money is available to be used restore local character and create engaging and vibrant places. Expressions of interest have been developed and submitted for Barnoldswick and Colne town centres.
Councillor Mohammed Iqbal, leader of Pendle Council, said: “If these expressions of interest get through to the second stage, plans for the towns will be developed more fully.
