PDS veteran Steven Harker dies at 59

Steven Harker, works manager at PDS (CNC) Engineering, has died at age 59.

He had worked at the Nelson-based firm for more than 16 years and within engineering for more than a quarter of a century following his graduation from Nelson and Colne College.

Annette Weeks, managing director of PDS Engineering, said: "Steve will be greatly missed by everyone here. He joined PDS Engineering in 2005 and helped us grow into the business we are today. He had an indomitable spirit combined with expert knowledge that he was well known for.

"Not only was he admired by his colleagues, but he was also held in high esteem by our clients, many of which he formed great friendships with. He will be sadly missed as both a friend and a colleague. All our thoughts and condolences are with his family."
