We’re delighted to announce that so far, we have raised £8,315 for The Brain Tumour Charity!
As many of you know, our director Kimberley sadly lost her beloved father, Ian Harper, to a primary brain tumour in September 2020. Since then, Kimberley has done everything in her power to ensure that his legacy lives on.
We first teamed up with the Brain Tumour Charity towards the end of 2020 and launched the Power of Print at the start of 2021 – a scheme which sees a percentage of the profits earned from print projects donated to the charity in an effort to help with raising awareness and boosting vital funds.
“Sadly, my lovely father lost his battle in September 2020, but as a family, we can take solace in the fact that he received excellent care following his diagnosis, and our ongoing fundraising programme feels like a good way to honour his memory,” said Kimberley. “He was the joint owner of a printing company, LBH Litho in Blackburn, Lancashire, for over 25 years, before he retired from the print industry in 2010, and he was always so passionate about what he did”.
Over the years, we have continued to help raise awareness and boost vital funds for the Brain Tumour Charity through various charity fundraising events.
Last year, our director Kimberley and graphic designer Lindsay volunteered at a local charity cricket match, in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity. Attracting supporters from across the county, the charity cricket match was organised in memory of England cricket player David Capel, who had ties with the local club, through his son, Jordan Capel.
“We had a fantastic day at the cricket club. Altogether, Jordan’s event raised over £1,300 for the charity, which is amazing! It was an absolute pleasure to be involved, and we’ll be keeping an eye out for more local fundraising events that we can volunteer at and support.”
Earlier this year, we even held our very own Charity Golf Day– raising an impressive £5312.50, for The Brain Tumour Charity!
“Despite not having the weather on our side, we were thrilled to raise such an incredible amount of money for a cause that is very close to our hearts,” said Barrie, “It was fantastic to see that every player had turned up with a positive attitude despite the rain, and it was great to get together with our friends, clients and fellow local businesses for a good cause. We can’t thank them enough for their support.”
