The 20th anniversary edition of the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 has ranked Skelmersdale's Chemist-4-U.com as the third quickest growing SME in the UK.
The online pharmacy was established in 2011 by Samir Patel and James O'Loan, selling toiletries and NHS prescriptions on its website and via text, Twitter and Facebook.A new entrant on the list, sales in Britain, Germany and Denmark helped the Skelmersdale-based online pharmacy grow turnover to £16.9m last year (and increase of 172.66 per cent) with plans to expand into France and Scandinavia.
It is now said to be one of Royal Mail's largest customers in the northwest, sending up to 16,000 parcels each day. Service Care Solutions of Preston, a recruitment consultancy established in 2005, placed 86th on the list, increasing sales by 55 per cent to £35.6m. Fast Track 100
