Online commercial freight ferry aggregator has significantly increased its workforce after improving its website and operating systems, and expanding into new markets.
During 2015 the Preston based business recruited more than six full-time staff to handle additional growth generated by its UK and Polish websites. While its UK operations continue to grow, Freightlink is also looking further afield to European freight ferry markets.Founded more than a decade ago, Freightlink Solutions is once again ready for further expansion. Its co-directors Mark Stephen and Phil Simpson are currently planning strategy for 2016 with their sales and marketing directors, as growth to the business is anticipated.
In 2012 Freightlink Solutions rebranded itself and freshened up its website. In 2014 it launched a 'Knowledge Centre' - a sort of one-stop-shop full of tips, advice, and FAQs targeting Hauliers and Couriers with rich content online. This year Freightlink have upgraded their website once again making it faster, better, and more secure. It's unique 'Freight2Ferry' software is one of the most advanced in Europe. While customers can search and book, direct with ferry operators, the new version of 'Freight2Ferry' pulls in route and price data of some of the world's largest ferry operators. Freightlink's website displays this operating system software and presents customers with route planning solutions, and freight ferry price comparisons - a very powerful tool for couriers and hauliers that require freight and logistics planning.
In addition to this, Freightlink recently designed and developed three new websites for the Baltic state regions (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia), Romania, and Czech Republic. Freightlink is not nervous in dealing with online digital growth, development, marketing, and social media - but is at the forefront of digital media, competing with some of the UK's larger travel and freight companies online.Mark commented: “It is no coincidence that our fast period of growth has followed the UK's economic growth increase - we've planned and prepared for this. We've set ourselves new goals, improved our customer services, redeveloped our operating systems, and now expanded into new markets."
