We’ve seen a huge rise in the number of remote online demonstrations we are running as they offer an extremely effective way of showcasing the solutions we can provide.
The service, first launched at the height of the Covid pandemic, highlights the capabilities of products such as video walls and video wall controller technology, including the UVS Lucidity video wall controller and control software, live and in a reactionary setting.
Recent online demos have been completed for potential clients in the US, Canada, Eire, UAE, Poland, Morocco, Romania and Vietnam and have allowed clients to make final decisions based on the demo and the associated commercial and technical proposals they received.
The following Q and A will help you decide if an online demo would help you and your business.
How do I prepare for an online demo?
No detailed preparation is required from you. Demos are delivered through Microsoft Teams, just provide UVS with an outline of your interests so we can tailor the demonstration to your requirements and ensure we cover everything.
What are the benefits?
Online demos allow our system integration partners and their end clients to see exactly in real-time how we can meet their requirements and also open up new ideas for them on the additional benefits the technology can bring them.
They show the true functionality of the technology and provide a very good understanding of the individual components that make up the system and how it all comes together. The demo is live from our UVS control room and attendees see both the video wall and software in operation simultaneously in real time.
How long do they last?
Sessions can be as quick as a 15-minute overview, to detailed evaluations of over an hour, where clients ask us to delve deep into the configuration and ask to see many detailed functions, which we absolutely encourage.
Can I ask questions during the demo?
Yes. Clients can ask questions at any stage, it is a two way discussion and we encourage questions so we can tailor the evaluation to the client’s needs. There are NO PowerPoint slides used on the demo and every demo is unique, with the majority of questions answered by way of a live example in real-time.
How many people can “attend”?
As many as required, it is arranged via a standard Teams meeting, so in theory there are no limits and people can attend from multiple customer locations, which has led to many multi-national demos!
Can I take control of the software/video wall controller during the demo?
You can ask any question or request to see the functionality which you require and our demonstrator will show you exactly what happens and how it works, live and in real-time. If a further demonstration is required then UVS can provide remote access to our system for this purpose. This is how we work with integration partners to allow them to develop and test integrations with our systems.
What has the customer feedback been like?
The client feedback has been truly inspiring and has allowed us to continue tweaking and adding new features.
One recent client, Media Group, said this: “The UVS online demo via Teams provided an excellent evaluation for our end client, who was able to see first-hand how simple the video wall was to control, and at the same time see the wide range of features available for use in their video wall application. It also allowed the end user to verify how their specific requirements were met and for queries to be answered with live examples.”
Do you still offer face-to-face demos?
Of course, they can still be very useful and we regularly welcome clients to our Burnley demonstration control room, but the pandemic created an environment where people are now a lot more comfortable jumping on a Teams call. UVS is also currently in the process of re-establishing a southern UK demonstration facility.
