Ram Gupta, managing director of Nybble IT, was awarded the prestigious Arte et Labore award at last week's Hive Awards.
The Hive awards celebrate the businesses of Blackburn with Darwen and this was the 10th year of the awards
This award recognises a long-term commitment by an individual to making Blackburn and Darwen a more prosperous borough and a better place to live, learn, work, visit and invest. The recipient of this award is selected by the Hive steering group.
Ram commented: “I am still in total disbelief as I was unsuccessfully holding back the tears and was totally lost for words. It means the earth to me and my family, especially to be granted this honour in front of amazing business associates, friends and family.
"Thank you to the Hive team and I promise to uphold the values of the arte et labore award. If my father was alive, he would be so proud, but he can only live on through the values he has taught, as we will live on through what we teach our children.”
The award recognises the tireless work that Ram Gupta puts in to supporting local charities and educational establishments as well as championing the fight against Digital Poverty.
