Redwoods Dowling Kerr are delighted to announce the sale of Project Susie, a group of three nursery settings, sold to an experienced group operator.
Project Susie consists of New Road Nursery in Chippenham, Little Robins Nursery in Melksham, and an after-school club at Ivy Lane Primary School in Chippenham.
The three settings boast excellent reputations, and as such have historically high occupancy levels. New Road Nursery and Little Robins have a combined registration of 92 children, with the after-school club having the potential to accommodate up to 100 children.
The nurseries are all excellently located for attracting children from the immediate locality, but also from parents who travel en-route to their workplace due to the area’s good transport links.
The owners, Mark and Sian Cawley, have fostered a superb reputation for excellence and built a robust organisation structure with a team of experienced and passionate early years practitioners.
The quality of childcare provided by the settings is reflected in the ‘Outstanding’ and ‘Good’ Ofsted reports which have been achieved. All settings are well-equipped and have enjoyed regular investment.
Mark and Sian wanted to sell their settings as they wanted to spend more time with their children. They instructed Redwoods Dowling Kerr to find a buyer for their first-class group.
After our comprehensive marketing and research campaign, Project Susie received significant interest and 16 viewings and four strong offers were generated.
The group was sold to a corporate operator with several nurseries in its portfolio. The new owners want to get to know the staff across the settings and want to continue the successful running of the nurseries.
Upon completion of the sale, Mark and Sian Cawley said: “Selling a nursery is a difficult process with many ups and downs throughout the journey.
“RDK were there every step of the way especially during this difficult year. Sarah was great, she provided feedback and kept the transaction on track.”
Senior Sales Negotiator, Sarah Ellison, said: “I am pleased to have helped the owners to a successful completion. It has taken time and patience due to a few ups and downs with a previous buyer and then the current Covid-19 pandemic.
“Mark and Sian's managed to stay positive and we managed to continue pushing the marketing until we found them the perfect buyer, who has been in the sector over 10 years and has several other settings.
“It was always the seller priority to have a buyer who would continue the nurseries for many more years to come. I would like to wish the new owner all the best with his new settings and the seller with their other business interests.”
