Chorley-based Northern Trust has secured planning consent for the development of over 50,000 sq ft in 25 new business units across four strategic locations, in the North East, North West, Midlands, and Yorkshire.
The newly approved developments, which will create around 200 jobs, are part of Northern Trust’s plan to expand its business space offering and stimulate regional economic activity.
A spokesperson on behalf of Northern Trust, commented on the achievement: "Securing planning consent for these new developments is a testament to our strategic vision and our dedication to supporting regional economic development.
"Each of these projects has been carefully planned to provide optimal solutions for businesses looking to expand or establish themselves in prime locations. We are excited about the opportunities these new spaces will bring to local economies and look forward to continuing our work in delivering high-quality business units."
The developments will be tailored to accommodate a variety of industries across the small and medium size business sector. Northern Trust’s existing property portfolio extends to 9 million sq ft of industrial, trade counter and office parks, together with more than 5,000 acres of land throughout the UK.
