Luxury country house hotel, Northcote is celebrating being named AA Hotel of the Year – England at the AA Hospitality Awards 2016.
This prestigious award recognises the most exceptional hotel in England and is chosen by a panel of industry experts, making it the ultimate accolade for hotels in the UK.
Northcote’s chef patron Nigel Haworth was also shortlisted for AA’s Chef of the Year Award 2016. This award gives Rosette-awarded chefs the opportunity to decide who deserves to have their work over the past year recognised.
Craig Bancroft, managing director of Northcote, said: “Being awarded AA Hotel of the Year – England is one of those awards that you always dream of achieving but don’t always believe it will happen. We are absolutely delighted for the whole team at Northcote as this award is for them. It recognises their hard work, endeavour and tenacity to deliver an outstanding food and wine offering alongside genuine hospitality.” The AA has been recognising hotels for over a century and each year announces 23 awards across 11 separate categories in front of world-renowned chefs, restaurateurs, and hoteliers as well as hospitality experts and celebrity guests. Initially a selection of AA inspectors creates a shortlist of the best hotels from across the UK and then a panel of industry experts picks the overall winners.
