Lancashire Business View has been shortlisted for yet another top regional media award.
The magazine has been nominated in the ‘Specialist Publication’ category in this year’s O2 Media Awards North West.
In a record breaking year more than 420 entries were received across the different categories.
Nicola Green, director of corporate affairs at O2, said: “The O2s showcase excellence in news, sport, entertainment, social and community media and applaud the growth of creative industries in the North West.
“Whether it’s writers delivering grassroots journalism or programme makers winning national acclaim, the awards highlight the impact the media has on our communities.”
This year’s presentation evening will be held at the AJ Bell Stadium in Salford on Thursday, November 7.
BBC Breakfast’s Louise Minchin and Dave Massey, O2’s Senior Corporate Communications Manager, will host the evening.
The nomination marks a headline-making year for independent publisher Lancashire Business View, which has seen it receive a hat-trick of honours.
The publication triumphed in the ‘news and magazine’ category at the prestigious Prolific North awards.
It received the coveted ‘Contribution to Lancashire’ honour in this year’s Lancashire Business Awards, hosted by Downtown in Business.
And earlier this year the title received the ‘Time to Shine Partnership Award’ from the charity Cash for Kids after its Red Rose Awards raised almost £40,000 for the local good cause since 2016.
The other publications nominated in the O2 specialist publications category are Liverpool Echo’s Business Post, Newsquest Cumbria’s Farmer and the Lancashire Post’s Inspiring Lancashire title.
The Liverpool Echo and ITV Granada Reports both feature strongly in this year’s list of finalists.
There are multiple nominations too for BBC North West Tonight and its sister radio stations, across both news and sports categories, while regionally based programme makers LA Productions and Blakeway North lead the way in entertainment and drama.
