North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) has won a national award for its innovative use of digital tools.
The organisation won the Enhancing Workforce Engagement, Productivity and Wellbeing Through Digital Award at the inaugural HSJ Digital Awards.
The awards have been launched to celebrate the power of digital products, projects and services to transform care delivery, enhance efficiency, and improve patient outcomes.
NWAS was recognised for its implementation of smart solutions across its sites. This uses digital innovations to simplify outdated processes for staff using smart technology, which ultimately saves time for staff and improves patient safety.
The organisation was also nominated in the 'digital clinical safety' category after recently implementing a new risk management solution to drive patient safety and transform how risk is managed across the organisation.
The bespoke solution streamlines reporting into one accessible, innovative system which is used to capture and analyse data such as incident reports, legal reports, complaints, freedom of information requests and more.
The judging panel was made up of a diverse range of highly influential and respected figures within the healthcare community.
