Staff from Accrington-based training provider North Lancs Training Group (NLTG) have voted for the company’s new charity partners.
Alzheimer's Society, Teenage Cancer Trust and Milly’s Smiles were announced as the three chosen charities at NLTG’s latest team briefing conference, which was held at Accrington Stanley’s ‘The Venue at Stanley’ on Friday 9th August.
NLTG will now run a series of fundraising initiatives over the next 12 months to raise money which will then be donated across the charities.
Alzheimer's Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity, tackling all aspects of dementia by giving help and hope to people living with dementia today and in the future.
Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK teenage cancer charity and provides every young person facing cancer with the best care and support.
Hyndburn based Milly’s Smiles provides a welcome bag, known as a Milly Bag, to every family whose child has been diagnosed with cancer and admitted to Manchester, Alder Hey, Leeds, Nottingham and Newcastle Children’s Hospitals.
Gareth Lindsay, managing director of NLTG, said: “Our staff have voted for three wonderful charities to be our charity partners for the next 12 months, and we are looking forward to supporting them through a number of initiatives.
“Milly’s Smiles, Alzheimer's Society and Teenage Cancer Trust all do amazing work in the community and we are proud to be able to support them.”
