Nitecrest bolsters production facilities

Plastic and board card manufacturer Nitecrest has expanded its production capabilities with new collating and laminator machinery.

The South Ribble-based business manufactures a range of products including gift cards, loyalty cards and bank cards for many major national brands.

The new machines will be housed in Nitecrest's 120,000 sq ft facility in Leyland to support the manufacturing of over five million cards produced on a daily basis.

Ronnie Hart, managing director of Nitecrest said: "We are synonymous with the fastest lead times in the industry, as well as being the largest capacity card producer in Europe, the Otto collator supports this process with production running 24 hours a day.

"The new laminator, added to our existing laminator machinery allows us to keep producing high volumes of cards with even greater flexibility."

Lancashire County Councillor Michael Green, cabinet member for economic development, environment and planning, who also represents Moss Side and Farington, visited the company to see the new machinery. He said: "I'm very pleased that we have Europe’s largest card producer right here in Moss Side, Leyland. This is a sign that Lancashire is a great place to base your business."
