The Hive Blackburn & Darwen Business Awards have opened for nominations, with organisations invited to compete across 23 categories.
The awards, now in their ninth year, will culminate with a ceremony on Friday 23rd November at King George’s Hall.
All submissions are required by 18th September. A shortlist will then be announced on 2nd October, with successful candidates and companies invited to a final interview before the winners are selected.
The categories cover a whole of sectors and topics including; The Creative & Digital Award, The Commitment to Innovation & Technology Award and the Hive Rising Star Award. The hospitality award has also been extended to include hotels and restaurants as we look to celebrate this thriving sector in the borough.
Ian Brown, chairman of Hive, said: "We are incredibly passionate about giving businesses of all shapes, sizes and set ups the opportunity to be recognised for their work, which is why we have over 20 different categories to enter.
"Last year we received a record number of entries and we anticipate this year being even bigger as the awards continue to gain momentum. Our carefully selected judging panel take great care and consideration in reading through each and every individual entry and for them it is a huge honour that brings them a lot of joy!"
The awards are judged by a high-profile panel, made up of internal and external representatives and sponsors, including representatives from Blackburn College and Blackburn & Darwen Council, both of whom are headline sponsors of this year’s event.
