Preston-based law firm Harrison Drury has recruited two experienced partners to its growing employment law team.
David Carmichael joins from the Manchester office of European law firm Fieldfisher, while Jamie Campbell joins from DWF’s Liverpool office.
The pair will support Harrison Drury’s clients across the North West, primarily advising HR professionals, senior executives, in house lawyers, and business owners on all aspects of managing employee relationships.
As well as advising businesses on day-to-day employment matters, David also guides businesses through major projects, such as preparing for new legislation, relocation, restructuring and outsourcing.
His other areas of specialism include shareholder and partnership disputes, restrictive covenant enforcement, health and safety related employment issues, whistleblowing, and trade union relations.
Jamie, who will be based at the firm’s Preston office but working across the region, has considerable experience dealing with employment tribunal litigation, general employment advisory work and corporate support work.
He is an experienced employment tribunal advocate who has represented clients in employment tribunal hearings all over the country for many years. He regularly advises employers and employees on executive terminations and settlement agreements.
Roger Spence, partner and head of Harrison Drury’s employment team, said: “David and Jamie are two hugely experienced employment solicitors who bring a great deal of knowledge to the team, not just in general advisory work but also specialist areas like employment tribunals, modernising terms and conditions, and restructuring.
“The experience they have gained advising major clients across a diverse range of industries, including tech, retail, education and hospitality means, will be invaluable to our clients, colleagues and intermediary partners.”
