High profile solicitors Earle Brady and Kate Mallaband have joined Napthens as head of construction & engineering and commercial property partner respectively.
Earle, who joins from DLA Piper in Liverpool where he was legal director and head of construction & engineering in the North West, becomes partner and Napthens’ new head of construction.Kate joins as partner and head of commercial property in Cumbria from local firm Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand, and brings more than 10 years’ experience working in the sector.
During his career, Earle has been involved with a number of high profile projects in the sector both locally and further afield including advising on the stand extension at Anfield for Liverpool Football Club, a £150m regeneration scheme in Liverpool city centre, and advising a Middle Eastern government on a museum project.At Napthens Earle, a member of the Society of Construction Law, will use his experience to help clients’ construction and engineering projects reach a successful conclusion from procurement to appointment of consultants and resolving any disputes arising.
Meanwhile, Kate has particular knowledge in landlord and tenant law, and estate management work for national retail portfolios as well as large regional operators across Yorkshire and the North West having spent seven years at top 100 firm Gordons in Leeds.She has specialist experience in secured lending and refinancing, corporate support and all types of commercial property transactions and is well known in the local business community.
