NLTG, the training provider headquartered in Accrington with premises in Oldham and Bury, has strengthened its successful team by hiring Robin Lindsay as operations manager.
Robin has worked in the education sector for almost 20 years. Currently living in Stockport, originating from Bolton, he initially planned for a coaching career with a degree in Sport and Business, while undertaking his FA Coaching Badge. He followed this with a Masters in Business and Economics and a PGCE as he formed a strong interest in coaching and training young people, primarily through Apprenticeships.
At his previous employer, Robin was instrumental in growing the business from a local company to a large, national provider with 100 staff and close to 2,000 apprentices in placements throughout the country. Robin has worked with some of the country’s biggest employers to design large, complex programmes as well as supporting work to introduce new apprenticeship standards for underrepresented sectors.
North Lancs Training Group spotted his experience and qualifications, and asked Robin to join the team as Operations Manager. This role will focus on continuous improvements in their existing operations as they move forward on their Journey to Outstanding, and he will also be looking for opportunities for growth to propel NLTG into their next phase after a more than 50 year history providing training in the local area.
Robin Lindsay said, “I’m delighted to be asked to join the great team at North Lancs Training Group. It’s a new challenge for me, and we’ve set the bar high by aiming to become one of the best providers in the country. We work with some superb brands giving fantastic apprenticeship opportunities, as well as providing amazing support and training for people to get into education and employment.
I’m really looking forward to bringing my experience and ideas to such a successful training provider, and working closely with the talented team here as we enter the next great phase of this longstanding company!”
Apprenticeships can be a great option for young people or those wishing to change career. NLTG have over 300 live vacancies for Apprenticeships right across the region on their website. They also provide Study Programmes for those wishing to progress onto an Apprenticeship, and Adult Learning courses tailored to requirements for employers in the local area.
