A Lancaster-based web agency has created five new jobs following the relocation to a larger premises in the town centre, which was supported with a government grant.
Due to continued growth, NuBlue outgrew its previous accommodation at the InfoLab21 Knowledge Business Centre and has relocated to White Cross.To help with the move and with property refurbishments, NuBlue contacted Regenerate Pennine Lancashire, which provides support and finance to help local businesses start and grow.
Regenerate helped NuBlue access a grant of nearly £28,000 to contribute towards the full cost of the project. The grant was supported by the government’s Regional Growth Fund.Michael Ashworth, managing director at NuBlue, said: “We have a three year roadmap to grow our business, and the move will help us create new, skilled roles to bring our staff level up to 35 and our annual turnover up to £1.8m. The grant from Regenerate helped us move faster with our growth plans and ensure the new premises was fit for purpose.” Regenerate can provide non repayable grants from £5,000 to £1m to new and existing business to business organisations across the whole of Lancashire, following three successful bids to the Regional Growth Fund.
