Elan Homes has acquired a 10.1 acre site to the south of Blackpool and will build 86 new homes.
It becomes the second phase of the wider 422-home Redwood Point development at Marton Moss, to the south of the resort and near Lytham. The first phase has already been built and sold.
Known as Redwood Gardens, it will offer three and four-bedroom homes, ranging from 972 sq ft to 1,953 sq ft.
There will be a high level of landscaping including hedgerow planting to all front gardens and additional tree planting.
Philip Palmer, land director for Elan Homes in the North, said: "The acquisition of our first site in Lancashire is a major step for the business. Work on site is due to start soon, with the first homes due to be released for sale in the summer.
"We recognise that there’s a need to ensure there’s a future housing supply across Lancashire to supplement our acquisition at Redwood Gardens, and the wider North West, which is why we remain committed to acquiring new sites."
He added: "Housebuilding and the wider construction industry will be a driver in the country’s economic recovery after the challenges of the pandemic. Along with providing new homes, housing developments also generate wider economic investment in facilities and offer further employment opportunities within the supply chain.
"We’re keen to speak with landowners and their representatives to understand where we could unlock development potential and contribute to targets for delivering new homes."
