The North West Aerospace Alliance, representing 220 members of the Aerospace Industry across the North West of England, has appointed Dr David Bailey as chief executive officer.
David will replace Martin Wright who is retiring from the position at the end of the summer.David has 27 years’ experience of working in manufacturing, design, technology and supply chain. He started his engineering apprenticeship with AIRBUS at the Broughton Site in 1986.
He gained his first degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 1992 from Loughborough University and later worked in the Rolls Royce Technology Centre where he completed a PhD in Aerodynamics.David spent 10 years with ALSTOM Power initially as an aerodynamicist and later became head of technology, and joined the North West Aerospace Alliance in 2005 as director of operations and leads NWAA’s supply chain development programmes.
