New appointment to a new role for Swansway Group

We are delighted to welcome Asa Baker, newly appointed as our procurement manager. This is a role that is new for Swansway Group, as we continue to do all we can to drive efficiency and effectiveness, so that we can pass on the benefits to our customers. Asa joins us after 5 years as the head of supply chain services for RBS International, so we were curious to find out what prompted the move to the motor industry.

Asa says:“This was an opportunity that really appealed to me, I could see immediately how I could make a real impact and deliver tangible benefits in a new territory. My first task will be to meet everyone - as far as possible in the current circumstances. I want to build good relationships at all the sites and with all the suppliers; if you are going to ask difficult questions, it’s important that you also have good rapport.
