Community Solutions North West (CSNW), in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), proudly announces the launch of the Accrington Youth Hub, situated within the historic Elmfield Hall in Gatty Park.
This initiative is designed to support young people aged 16–24 in Hyndburn by providing tailored employment, training, and wellbeing services in a welcoming, community-focused environment.
The youth hub aims to serve as a central resource for young individuals seeking guidance on employment opportunities, skills development, and personal growth.
By collaborating with local employers, training providers, and community organisations, the hub will offer a comprehensive support system to help young people overcome barriers to employment and achieve their career aspirations.
Maggie Moody, chief executive of CSNW, said: “The launch of the Accrington Youth Hub marks a significant step forward in our commitment to empowering young people in our community.
"By providing accessible resources and personalised support, we aim to inspire confidence and open doors to new opportunities for our youth.”
Sarah Smith, MP for Hyndburn and Haslingden, said: “Before I got into politics, I spent time volunteering as a youth worker, so I know just how important a youth hub like this can be for our young people.
"We are lucky to have groups like Community Solutions here in the constituency. They do brilliant work every single day, helping people build confidence, learn new skills, and get the support they need.
"I am fully committed to backing our volunteers and working with the government to give young people the tools they need to succeed. This isn’t just good for them, it’s good for our local workforce and a big step towards helping young people in Hyndburn and Haslingden reach their full potential.”
The Accrington Youth Hub is now open and welcomes referrals through Jobcentre Plus. The Hub offers a range of services, including career counselling, skills workshops, and mental health support, all aimed at facilitating a smooth transition into employment or further education.
