Story Homes has secured planning permission to deliver 118 new homes on land adjacent to Blainscough Hall in Coppull.
Chorley Borough Council has now formally approved the plans, which include a mix of one to five-bedroom high quality new homes, with 30 per cent of the properties being affordable.
Whilst significant areas of public open space will be created within the development, the housebuilder will also pay over £200,000 towards the provision of improved public open space within Coppull.
In addition, Story Homes will contribute £320,000 towards increasing secondary education capacity in the local area and will pay over £1.2m in Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).
Martin Nugent, head of land and planning for Story Homes North West, said: "This exciting new scheme will deliver a number of benefits to the local community, including affordable homes and new open space, as well as economic benefits that are associated with the development of new homes, such as the direct and indirect employment opportunities for local people created throughout the construction phase.”
On-site works are expected to begin in May 2024.
