New government figures show that Nelson and Colne College is number one in the country for learning achievement.
Compiled by the Education and Skills Funding Agency, the statistics also place NCC as the number one general FE College in England for 16-18 classroom learning achievement rates at all levels and second in the country for its overall 16-18 Apprenticeship success, measured against 208 general FE colleges in England.
Principal Amanda Melton said: “Getting the right qualifications is such an important part of a young person’s journey to their future career.
“This year, we have experienced the challenge of new GCSE and A Level exams but the dedication to making sure our students continue to succeed continues to remain at the core of what we do.
